I would just get in my car as they cant tow it with you in it.
The tow truck drivers are just wasting time (money) sitting there with you in the car and they will get mad, just wait them out. My friend and I did that before in his car we came out of a coffee shop and they were half way through hooking it up we just got in the car and my friend started it and we listened to tunes. The tow truck driver got pissed and said you have to pay. We told him to hit the road and finially he unhooked the car and left. As time is money to them!
